What Tweet Archives Can Recover: Coverage, Sources and Media
Understand missing records, unavailable posts, source checks and the difference between recovered text and media.
Public archives have gaps
An archive is a collection of saved snapshots, not a complete copy of an account. Coverage varies by account, date and what the archive captured. A search with no results means no recoverable result was found through the available sources; it does not establish that a tweet never existed.
Deleted Tweet Finder searches existing public archives. It cannot supply text or media that those sources did not save or that can no longer be retrieved. It does not generate missing content or promise access to private accounts.
Unavailable does not always mean deleted
A post can be unavailable for reasons other than deletion by its author. The product's current availability check uses the platform's public embed response; it cannot rule out every other explanation. Treat deletion candidates as candidates, consider the last check time, and avoid presenting this classification as proof of intent.
Keep the source with the record
Recovered records include source links. Open the source when available, compare the account and post identifier, and check dates and text against your intended record. An archived snapshot supports what that snapshot captured; it is not a guarantee of a complete conversation, context or current platform state.
When using records in research, preserve the source link and distinguish the post date from any archive or checking timestamps shown. Do not fill gaps with assumptions.
Text, images and video are separate
An archive may save the page text without saving its image or video files. Media links can expire or become inaccessible independently of the text. A recovered image does not imply every image is available, and a video reference does not mean the video file was recovered.
Review the availability and missing-media notices before unlocking. An unlock provides access to the content actually recovered for that record; it cannot make missing files appear. Search and preview remain free, so you can inspect availability before deciding.
Export and save important content
Purchased records can be read and exported again without another unlock charge. Only recovered media is included. Export links are temporary and can be regenerated from the purchased library; media storage is not promised indefinitely. Keep local copies of important files with their source information.
