How to Find Deleted Tweets in Public Archives
Search with a username or post link, check recovered records and sources, and unlock only what you need.
Start with a username or a post link
A tweet that is no longer available on X may have a copy in a public archive. Deleted Tweet Finder searches existing public archives; it does not recreate missing posts. A saved copy must exist for content to be recoverable.
Open the search page. Enter the account's X username or a specific tweet link. A username helps you explore records associated with an account; a link gives the search a specific post to look for. Neither input guarantees a result.
Let the search progress
Search and preview are free, and you can begin without registering. Some searches take over 30 minutes. Available results appear as work progresses; you can leave and return to check progress. A slow search is not a promise that more records will be found.
Read the preview and check the source
Inspect the recovered text preview, account, date and source link. Compare the source with the record you intended to find. Check text, image and video availability separately: a saved text record may have no recoverable media.
“Unavailable” does not by itself prove that the author deleted a tweet. Other causes cannot all be ruled out. Read the availability information and last check time where shown. See our coverage and media guide for the limits of these checks.
Unlock only the records you want
Sign in when you are ready to unlock. One credit is used when you confirm unlocking one new recovered record. Searching, previewing and finding no results do not consume an unlock credit. Read the preview and missing-media notices before confirming.
One-time packages provide credits, not a recovery guarantee. They do not renew automatically. Credits are valid for 365 days from issuance; buying another package does not extend the earlier package's expiry.
Keep your records and their sources
Use your purchased library to read previously unlocked records and export the available content without another unlock charge. Exports include only text and media that were actually recovered. Download links are temporary and can be regenerated from the purchased library.
Save important files locally and keep the source links with them. Purchased access does not promise indefinite media storage. If a result or download does not match its preview, contact support with the relevant record or order reference. Never send your password or payment card details.
